Jaya Eye Care Centre staff celebrated Diwali at the hospital premises this year. They made it even more memorable by adorning ethnic wear such as silk sarees and veshtis.

As part of ongoing community service, Jaya Eye Care Centre has sponsored Public Address Systems for the Greater Chennai Traffic Police to be used for regulating traffic at Luz Signal and near Mylapore tank area in Mylapore, Chennai.

Excellence in Quality Award 2020 as the Best Eye Care Hospital for Jaya Eye Care Centre

Jaya Eye Care Centre, Mandavelipakkam, Chennai was conferred Excellence in Quality Award 2020 as the Best Eye Care Hospital in the Ophthalmology category among NABH hospitals on 29 Jan 2020 by FICCI during its 12th edition of TANCARE – Chennai 2020 held at Hotel Taj Connemara, Binny road, Chennai.
This event was jointly organized by FICCI in association with The New Indian Express and supported by ACME Healthcare Consulting and the awards presented by Dr. Beela Rajesh IAS – Secretary to Govt of Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Department.
FICCI’s theme for this year’s edition of TANCARE was ‘Preventive Healthcare – A Gl(r)owing Industry’.
It also presented awards in more than 14 categories and in all 26 awards including Life Time Achievement, Best Primary Health Center, Best Government Hospital, Best Private Hospital (Medium, Large), Best Non-Profit Hospital, Special Award — Mental Health, Specialty Medicine, Reproductive Medicine, Diabetes, Ophthalmology, Innovation in Healthcare, Emergency & Trauma Care, Alternative Medicine were presented at the event.
More than 200 delegates including MD & CEOs of private medical hospitals, senior independent doctors and consultants, hospital administrators and senior professionals from Healthcare Indus participated in the event.
In her speech, Dr. Beela Rajesh said that the government is now more focusing on preventive health care in the State and corporate companies; doctors body such as the Indian Medical Association and other stakeholders should join hands with the government in making a healthy Tamil Nadu. Dr. Beela Rajesh also appealed to the employers to ensure that their office canteens are certified in terms of hygiene, health rating and cleanliness. She also requested the corporate companies to adopt one hospital under ‘My hospital, My Pride’ initiative that was announced by the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami recently.

Jaya Eye Care Centre held its NABH Accreditation Presentation Event in Royapettah, Chennai on 30 Mar 2019. It was presented by Chief Guest Mylapore M.L.A. Mr. Natraj, IPS., along with honourable guests Prof. Dr. T. R. Swaminathan and Dr. A. G. Ramesh to Dr. B. Ganesh, Medical Director and Mrs. Srividhya Ganesh, Administrator, Jaya Eye Care Centre.
The Chief Guest, Mylapore M.L.A., Mr. Natraj, Senior Ophthalmologists Prof. Dr. T. R. Swaminathan and Dr. A. G. Ramesh, and JECC Senior Staff members were felicitated during the event.
Mr. Chandrasekaran, Centre Manager, introduced the Guests and the Speakers to the gathering. Mrs. Veena Rao, Consultant Medical Services and Optometrist took the audience through Jaya Eye Care’s NABH Journey. Continuing with the theme, Mrs. Susmitha Krishnan, NABH Consultant, addressed the audience, reliving the NABH experience while recognizing and appreciating every staff member of JECC. A couple of JECC Patients volunteered to address the gathering as well.
The event concluded with Vote of Thanks by Dr. B. Ganesh followed by dinner. The grand event was attended by Doctors, Well Wishers, JECC Staff and their families and Patients. The event was covered by Tamil Daily Newspaper Dinamalar.
Clinical Training in Basic Life Support and CPR

JECC staff were trained in CPR and Basic Life Support in its premises by TACT Academy in Chennai.
Staff underwent simulation based hands-on training on CPR for adults, children and infants as well as on using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively.

During his visit, he gave his blessings to the hospital management, the staff and other visitors, including patients. He evinced keen interest in the modern facilities available at the hospital.
